Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) offers online application services for various agreements related to electricity connections. Here’s an overview of the online application process for TNEB agreements:
New Connection Application:Customers can apply for a new electricity connection through the TNEB website by filling out an online application form. They need to provide details such as their name, address, contact information, load requirement, and premises type.
Once the application is submitted, customers receive a reference number or acknowledgment, which they can use to track the status of their application.
Agreement for Supply of Electricity:After the application is processed and approved, customers are required to sign an agreement for the supply of electricity. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the electricity supply, including billing, payment, and usage regulations.The agreement can be signed electronically through the TNEB online portal, making the process convenient for customers.
Load Enhancement or Reduction:Customers can also apply online for load enhancement or reduction if there are changes in their electricity requirements. This could involve increasing the load for additional appliances or reducing the load for energy efficiency purposes.The online application allows customers to specify the desired changes and submit supporting documents, if required, for processing.
Temporary Supply Agreement:For temporary electricity connections, such as for construction sites or events, customers can apply for a temporary supply agreement online.
